Mission Statement

My dad has been my inspiration to write a mission statement for my life.

When he first mentioned it, my response (being the perfectionist that I turn into at times) was, “I have no idea how to write a mission statement! What an enormous undertaking! Can you not write one for me?!”

“No, I can’t. It’s personal.” was his reply.

I could tell through the phone that he was smiling.

“When you’re ready it will come to you.” he said. “Start praying for God to reveal what He wants for your life…HIS will and not your own…and that more will be revealed.”

“How long does it have to be?”, I asked. (I’m an expectations girl!)

His response, “Long enough to state your purpose and short enough that you can actually remember it and bring it to the forefront of your mind when most needed.”

So folks, here it is.

I would encourage you to write a personal mission statement if you haven’t already. It’s a unique feeling of accomplishment! Thanks Dad!

My Personal Mission Statement:
“To live and love in such a way that Christ is glorified
through my thoughts, words, actions and deeds
while continually seeking His face in an effort to
decrease so that He may increase.”

  1. An extremely simplistic statement – Yet, one profoundly challenged by the world of today. It show you are, by nature, selfless and pure of heart….. It is my honor to have met you.

May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you always.

  2. That’s an awesome mission statement! To love and be loved by Christ and share that with your world is truly the way to live. Thanks for sharing your inspirations and life with us! 😀

    • Thank you for reading Victoria. When I lose my way, which is more often than I like to admit, this is always a way to recenter myself and begin again.

Now it's your turn to talk
