Weekly Photo Challenge: Friendship

“When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.”
~Henri Nouwen
“Silence make the real conversations between friends.
Not the saying, but the never needing to say that counts.”
~Margaret Runbeck
“A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.”
~Shakespeare
“You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you.
You have to go to them sometimes.”
~A.A. Milne
“Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it’s all over.”
~Gloria Naylor
“We’ll be Friends Forever, won’t we, Pooh?’ asked Piglet.
Even longer,’ Pooh answered.”
~Winnie the Pooh

  2. I LOVE that top quote. So true. Thanks for being that for me so many times in the last two years – you are one who listens, brings a “treat” (or 10!) to bring cheer, but understands that you can’t fix. And that is truly what being a friend is. Love you girl!

Now it's your turn to talk
