“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.” ~Paulo Coelho
The topic for this week’s FMF post could not be more timely. Selfishly I like to think that God put it on Lisa-Jo‘s heart just for me.
I am experiencing change all around me. It’s not all bad, but unsettling nonetheless. The quote at the top of the page came from attempts to calm my nerves through hours of reading what different authors say about change. It sums it up well for me right now.
Change is a funny thing, it brings to the surface two very strong, competing emotions, fear and excitement.
Fear of the unknown.
Excitement for what the future holds.
For me, today, in this moment,
Change = Adventure.
I’ll keep you posted.
“All that you touch
You Change.
All that you Change
Changes you.
The only lasting truth
is Change.
God
is Change.”
~Octavia E. Butler

This is just brave, for me change = peeing my pants worried and scared lately. So… I want more of your spirit on this one.
Haha. That made me laugh.
Some days I’m brave, other days…well…not so much.
It’s consistent effort on my part to say, “Lord, where you lead, I will follow.”
Love this and love you, from one with an adventurous spirit to another! Wishing you more peace than you can imagine as you rest in the fact that the world is full of possibilities. What an amazing gift it is, to recognize that one closing door is not equivalent to the end of your life. Great big hugs and tingly excitement for you, my friend!
Thank you, friend.
